Fran Ford Announces His Candidacy For Governor's Council

As the former elected Clerk of Courts for Worcester County and a practicing attorney of 30 years, I believe I have the experience and qualifications to do a terrific job on the Governor's Council. As you may know, the primary job of a Governor's Councilor is to review the qualifications of judicial nominees. My terms as President of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and the Worcester County Bar Association have allowed me the opportunity to meet and work with many of the potential judicial applicants from across the Commonwealth. I believe I know what is necessary to be a terrific judge or clerk-magistrate, and I will work hard to ensure that only the best-qualified applicants are confirmed.
